INFS 6620 is an elective that is offered to all graduate students t MTSU. Students from Information Systems, Accounting, Business Adminisitration, as well as Aerospace and Psychology have been taking this course to gain an advantage in the use of computer applications. If you are looking to gain an advantage in the workplace or at school with readily available software, this class is for you.

The Aha! Factor:

You may know a little bit or a lot about Microsoft Excel. You may have played around with using Microsoft Access. However, by taking this class, you will learn things that you may have not known were available to you. By creating lists, database functions, web queries, hyperlinks, and many other functions within Excel, you will be amazed at the functionality that you did not know; hence the Aha! factor.

With Microsoft Access, we take you through the development of a database and you learn to make your db user friendly and very functional. Instead of using canned features of Access, we develop forms that resemble web pages, which users are more inclined to use.

The Live Project:

Every individual will be part of a live project to develop a database for someone's workplace, church, personal information, etc.

This course is being taught on Thursdays from 6PM to 9PM in the Spring 2009 and Fall 2009 semesters.
